The next time your customer asks for something extra or something different, needs a little more care, compassion or effort, you can tell them it is “99 percent difficult” – or you can deliver the 1 percent.
That big collective state ain’t what the Founders meant; they set the markets free, for you and me, to make a cent. Death to enterprise, Dude? That wasn’t their intent! Go out and make a dollar ‘stead-a making all that scent! Take from the resident… give to the government… all you gonna get is just a smelly One percent.
Let’s take a deeper look at the less than one percent number. Assuming that reports are correct, the very first day of sales for the iPhone 4 totaled 1.5 million. If that is the case than one percent would 15,000. (Granted for all you number people out there it could have one percent of all related support/complaint calls. So the number could be lower or higher. Okay back to the blog.) Fifteen thousand is the size of a small town.
Everyone has rules to follow, schedules, systems and procedures. Close to those plans is a border where flexibility can be applied – even if it’s only 1 percent. One percent can make all the difference in regard to customer service excellence.
Now that I was competing with the big boys I found myself not winning any competitions, but was getting 3rd and 4 placings. This was not because I was not as good as the winners, but they had no respect for me. They looked at me as some punk young kid with the who’s this guy attitude. I knew I was as good if not better than the champ and I needed to do something about that.
If you do feel strongly that one child needs the money more than another, talk with the child who is financially well-off. Don’t put him or her on the spot, but have a discussion. Say, “I’ve been considering something. You’re doing well. Your siblings are not. Maybe we should leave a little more to them than to you? What do you think? I want you to know that if you have even one iota of a problem with this idea. we won’t do it.” If your child agrees, and you feel that the response is completely honest, then it’s probably okay to go ahead with your plans.
Ideally, the best fat loss would therefore be white fat loss. Indeed, better weight management would include getting your body to make more brown fat and less white fat. So far, scientists have succeeded in getting mice to do this in laboratory research. We do not yet know whether this will work in people. Of course, drug companies are seeking a new miracle drug that will do this for you. No such thing is available at the moment.
